Written and recorded in my parents house from 2016-2020. These are the pieces and songs that made it to the final draft of this album that are inspired by fantasy, nature, existentialism, and the present moment.
Artemis in Ashland is the beginning of a story I’m writing where a person is transported into another realm through a door. The character is introduced to a forested mountainside with the sun shining down through the canopy.
Love decay is a tape loop I designed based around a song that didn’t make the album. It’s about eternal love and entropy.
Love Come My Way is a poetic expression of longing.
Cherry Blossoms takes a walk through the cherry blossoms in spring.
Seeing is about transcendence and introspection within the existential.
Scape 1 is the first of the scapes that will continue across all of my albums, hopefully. They focus on existence and what can’t be expressed with words.
Untitled Pop Song # Unknown returns to that eternal love from Love Decay.
Unseen, Unheard expresses some troubles and insights of living with mental illness.
Dreams paints an abstract canvas.
Sunbathing in a Forest Clearing emotes the mood of escaping for a moment into nature.
Lessons of Movement captures the importance good people can have on depression.
Scape 2 takes the ocean waves.
When the Fae Come Out to Play is structured to be somewhat surreal in it’s interplay of rhythms. I tried to find some magic in creating it.
As always with music every piece and every song can mean something different to any individual. This is a recording of what they have partly meant to me in the writing process. I hope you enjoy.
